1.
From the cold grey bleak formations of isolation and entrapment one in which drowns the life of man to the brink of desperation, of torment, isolation A melting pot of atrocity, hostility, belligerence; to the brink Precincts of intolerance and egoistic elitism, a false facade masking weakness Eternal prey of time, devoid of patience One smothered by the suburban grid of putrefaction, moral perversion the over consumption, the culture wars.. love thy neighbour - silence them. Metropolis, exodus.
The voyage, commence - We pilgrims for the sea Inhale, exhale, as the swell washes over me Burdens sway in the tidal dance as the shore breaks channeling the lulls - free, at ease, wash over me. We pilgrims for the sea
2.
Secure from within, devoid of validation from the hordes of order Tread where the feeble dare and set sail against the tide, the wind, the masses Deviate from the path of dullness, of decency, predictability forge ahead and answer to solely I Disgust in the norms of expectation, to deny without reason and seek oneness with thyself, my howl; unheard, we are the wolves of wilful isolation Denounce the social dance of falsity, insincerity to console a rehearsed recital of select decencies, a sway of language, social for-play of loathing The call of attention is at waste, reach and fall, the unheard cries to a cloud of formalities Let us celebrate the pursuit of self interest over societal values and formed reckoning Exercise the beast within man, and seek pleasure at the cost of others and civil etiquette Join us, never. Seek oneness with thyself, my howl; unheard. We are the wolves of wilful isolation
3.
Cold - The freezing moon luminates the I Darkness - Hear the wolves howl, the wilderness complete Solus, total death The forsaken crown of horde Spawn an energy To create to destroy Void, to look within one meaning lost on us all Abandon the rituals of conventional practice Ruin, the throne of command I, master I Harness the power of I, of now to conquer the terror of death

Inherited a burden, through generations of man a cursed existence of internal failures etched in the calcified linings of torment As the rising sun awakes the plague from within, the unseen agony takes hold the figure steadily invades itself, attacks, assaults, destroys the mote fails its fortress, the tower descends into eternal ruin overrun by itself, An invasion from within, an onslaught of progression, pain, misery, suffering. Relief only ruins the pits of hell, chronic torture as the armour crushes the vitals, the threads tear, and once again descend into eternal despair arise to face the enemy at dawn, the enduring battle continues, it continues on.
6.
A constant suppression, an animalistic urge, one in which dealt by crushing death an imprudent display of ignorance - damaged, trauma to look into the eyes of youth and rest a profound burden, immortally altered the battle of love and hate equilibrium an eternal, visceral compulsion to unleash utter rage and destruction yet blanketed by a constant unseen cloak of struggle and restraint in the wings awaiting to obliterate the enemy like an ancient cavalry charge at the drop of the hat, of a whimsical cause, total utter confusion; sans surprise perpetual wrath, ferocity and convulsions oppose the desire of good less harm the cloak contains such hostility, suppressed to endure the eternal inferno.

about

***Upon release, CD will be available over at www.drakkar666.com ***

Black metal duo from Melbourne, Australia, SYLVAN AWE, present their third full length, 'Pilgrimage'.

Formed in 2015, S. Callinan and A. Horsman forged their own path within the realms of black metal with their first album ‘Offering’.

Their sophomore release ‘Transcend’ released in 2021 on Northern Silence Productions presented a more focussed and mature sound with success.

Here they present ‘Pilgrimage’, a further exploration into black metal yet unbound from its restraints. A more progressive and melodic approach, from acoustic explorations spanning toward triumphant and defiant, visceral expressions.

*** Due to past discussions, we state again that Sylvan Awe are in no way a politically motivated and/or a political band. We promote the individuality of all peoples cultures and hope they remain as rich and unique as possible. 'Pilgrimage', which is deeply personal at times, is an album focussed on reflection, exploration and growth - politically neutral.

Our eyes all gaze upon our solitary sun.
